37 Long Weeks!!

It was week 11 when Pat and I found out that there was a Baby A and a Baby B. We went in for our first appointment and as the Dr. was measuring me he said I was a little bigger than I should have been for week 11. He said I could be further along than I thought I was but he would check with an ultrasound to make sure everything was alright. From the beginning, Pat and I had always joked about having twins....I always had a feeling too. Well, during the ultrasound it was confirmed....there was two!! Baby A and Baby B were their names. Pat and I were so happy...and scared at the same time. That night we told both our families...they were soo happy for us. The funniest call was the call I made to my parents....I got them both on the phone and told them that I wanted to tell them about my first Dr. Appt. Then I told them that they were going to be grandparents of healthy babIES....they caught on to the plural form of baby and were screaming!! My dad was the funniest!!! I had to pull the phone away from my ear he was shouting so loud!! I think he was so loud that the babies heard him!! From then on I had a pretty easy pregnancy. Really bad morning sickness the first trimester, but that is normal with women having twins due to all the hormones. It was a really healthy pregnancy and didn't start to get really uncomfortable until the last 8 weeks of my pregnancy (around week 30). Let's just say by the end of it I was begging God to break my water...I didn't care when or where it happened. I just wanted to get them out of me!! But I also new that the longer I kept them inside...the healthier they would be. By week 36, I had over 13 pounds of baby in my belly...and that's not counting the fluids, placenta, etc....that was just pure baby. I looked like humpty dumpty and if I fell down I knew I would roll away.
