Welcome to the World!
Lucille Kathleen Brace was born on May 14, 2009. She was 6 pounds 3 ounces and 18 1/2 inches long. Her little brother, Gibson Roy Brace, was born on May 14, 2009 and he was 6 pounds 9 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long. The hardest thing for me was not being able to see them after they were born for two hours. Because it was a c-section, the babies were immediately taken from me and Pat and the babies were sent to another room. I had to be stitched up and sent to recovery with only a glimpse of my new babies and the memory of their first cry. As soon as I was out of recovery, they brought me my babies....it was the most beautiful moment of my life. I can't even begin to explain that moment....and I'm not going to even try. For those of you who have had babies...you know what I mean...and for those of you who haven't yet...you will one day see.

ReplyDeleteYou are not kidding! Becoming a mom is the most amazing, unexplainable experience!!! I know what you mean too about not being nervous the whole pregnancy until you hear "you are going to have a baby tonight!!" I got the mommy shakes real bad-which I had never heard of! I don't think I've gotten over the excitement of Brayden being here and he is already 2 months this week! It sounds like you feel the same about your precious two!
